Min Husholdning · last updated 14 June 2026

Min Husholdning is a private family app for organising a household's daily life (shopping list, calendar, recipes and meals, chores, packing list, garden, to-do list, maintenance and accounting). This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and how.

Data we process

Why

The data is used solely to provide the app's features to your household and sync them across the household's devices. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or tracking, and we do not sell it.

Storage

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) on servers in the EU. The app also works offline and syncs when the device is back online.

Third parties

We do not share data for marketing. The following services process data to provide functionality:

Device permissions

The app may request access to calendar (to show your chosen calendars alongside the shared one), photos/camera (profile and recipe images) and notifications. All are optional and used only for the stated purpose.

Children

Children are added and managed by the adults in the household. The adults decide what is stored about a child (name, role, optional profile photo, chores and wage balance) and can change or delete it at any time.

A child may – if an adult invites them – be given their own sign-in using the child's own Google or Apple account on their own device. In that case we additionally store the child's email/user ID and which modules the child can access (read or write). The adults set and control this access, and can revoke it or remove the child at any time. Having an account is optional – a child can also be used purely as a profile on a shared device, with no sign-in at all.

The app is a tool for adults to organise the household and is not a service directed at children. Processing of children's data takes place under the adults' control (parental responsibility). In Norway children aged 13 and over can consent to such services themselves; for younger children it is the parents/guardians who consent and control – which is built in here, as the adults create and control everything. We collect only what the features require, and never use children's data for advertising, profiling or tracking.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept as long as the household uses the app. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → "Delete my account"). The owner can delete the entire household, removing its data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data. Contact us at the address above, or use the in-app deletion feature.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or here. The last-updated date is shown at the top.
